My work is strongly influenced by my hearing disability as a young child.
This experience is part of me and present in my work. In my methodology I work from the dramaturgy of somatics and ‘Choreography as conditioning’. I use principles of Body Mind Centering, which is an experiential practice, that I integrate within a context of composition and performance; both in my classes and in my performances.
I find this an empowering practice giving depth to ones body awareness and movement and performance qualities.
