“Van Peppen manages to create dances that seem to engage dancers as if they were doing their own work. The dancers’ presence and approach to space had a sense of intention and purposefulness that engaged the entire room”

Vincent Cacialano in Currents, a Body Mind Centering Association journal

My work is all about presence.
And how that presence is influenced by different states of being.

I work from the body using somatics. This is a methodology in which the focus lies on body awareness.
I research different bodysystems through experiential anatomy and relate this directly to presence and performance.
For the dancers and movers, this results in a variety and depth of movement qualities in which the form is a result of the embodiment of the specific bodysystem.

I integrate this methodology both in my classes as a teacher and in my choreographic work with my dance company.
